Newton County, IN. – One person was killed in a car crash on Friday evening in Newton County.
According to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 55 and County Road 1000 South.
A 65-year-old man from Goodland, Indiana, was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck eastbound on County Road 1000 South when he failed to yield the right of way and collided with a northbound Dodge passenger car driven by a 20-year-old.
The driver of the Chevy truck was killed in the accident.
The Dodge driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
