Multnomah County, OR. – One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a wrong-way collision early Saturday morning in Multnomah County, according to the authorities.
The fatal collision occurred around 3:49 a.m. on September 20, on Interstate 84 near milepost 24.
A 26-year-old Beaverton man was driving a BMW X3 westbound in the eastbound lanes when he collided head-on with an eastbound Tesla Model Y driven by a 40-year-old resident of Boring.
The Beaverton man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tesla driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The collision closed the highway for about five hours.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
