The driver of the Mercury was transported to the hospital where he died while receiving treatment

Monroe County, IN. – One person was killed in a collision at an intersection in Monroe County on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 2:28 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 46 and Hunter Valley Road.
A white 2007 Mercury Milan was traveling eastbound on State Road 46 when the driver drove into the westbound lanes and collided with a gray 2025 Buick Enclave that was traveling westbound.
A 2025 Mercedes-Benz was also involved in the accident.
The driver of the Mercury was transported to the hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
The driver of the Buick suffered multiple broken bones and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Mercedes-Benz’s driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
