Freeport, IL. – One person has died following a motorcycle accident at an intersection in Freeport on Wednesday evening.
According to Illinois State Police, the accident happened near the intersection of West Avenue and South Street at around 5 p.m.
A 57-year-old Freeport man was riding a motorcycle in the area when he was struck by a red BMW driven by a 39-year-old man from Davis.
The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
