Troopers said a 2025 Hyundai Sonata was heading north on I-95 behind a 2023 semi-truck with a trailer when it did not stop south of West Indian River Boulevard. The two vehicles were involved in a rear-end crash.

Edgewater, FL. – One person was killed after a rear-end collision involving a semi-trailer on Monday afternoon in Edgewater, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at around 11:27 p.m. on February 16 on Interstate 95, south of West Indian River Boulevard.
Troopers said a 2025 Hyundai Sonata was heading north on I-95 behind a 2023 semi-truck with a trailer when it did not stop south of West Indian River Boulevard. The two vehicles were involved in a rear-end crash.
The Hyundai Sonata driver, an Edgewater resident, was declared dead at the collision.
A 50-year-old man of Yulee, a semi-truck driver, was not hurt. He stayed at the scene after the collision.
An investigation is underway.
