A female driver had to be extricated before being taken to a local hospital, where she later died.

Converse, IN. – One person was killed in a head-on collision that left another person injured on Wednesday evening near Converse in Grant County.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 4 p.m. on State Road 18, near State Road 13 in front of Oak Hill High School.
Two vehicles are reportedly to have collided head-on in unclear circumstances.
A 45-year-old female driver had to be extricated before being taken to a local hospital, where she later died.
The second driver was pulled out of the burning car before being airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital with serious injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
