The driver of the vehicle entering the highway was declared deceased at the scene
Clackamas County, OR. – One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Clackamas County on Saturday morning.
The crash occurred around 11:34 a.m. on Highway 224 near milepost 15.
Preliminary investigation shows a vehicle entering the highway from SE Amisigger Road attempted to turn eastbound onto Highway 224 and collided with a westbound pickup truck, resulting in a side impact collision.
The driver of the vehicle entering the highway was declared deceased at the scene. Two passengers in that vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital.
The operator of the pickup truck was reportedly uninjured.
Highway 224 was closed for approximately four hours during the investigation.
Oregon State Police were assisted by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Clackamas Fire, and ODOT.
