A 62-year-old female passenger of the white was injured and transported to Stroger Hospital.

Chicago, IL. – A 79-year-old man was killed in a car accident on the West Side of Chicago on Tuesday night.
According to Chicago police, the accident happened around 8:27 p.m. at Western Avenue and Jackson Boulevard.
A black car was traveling south on Western Avenue when the driver disregarded the traffic light and crashed into a white sedan traveling west on Jackson Boulevard.
The impact of the collision sent both vehicles off the roadway where they crashed into a fence.
The 79-year-old male driver of the white sedan was transported to Stroger Hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
A 62-year-old female passenger of the white sedan was injured and transported to Stroger Hospital.
The driver of the black car fled the scene on foot.
More details about the accident were not released.
