Authorities said a 57-year-old Marysville man was pulling a truck out of a driveway located on Shipman Cutoff Road when a northbound vehicle operated by a 53-year-old man from Girard hit the rear axles of the trailer.
Macoupin County, IL. – One person sustained fatal injuries following a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday night in Macoupin County.
According to the Macoupin County Sheriff’s office, the accident happened a while after 5:00 p.m. on November 19, on Shipman Cutoff Road.
Authorities said a 57-year-old Marysville man was pulling a truck out of a driveway located on Shipman Cutoff Road when a northbound vehicle operated by a 53-year-old man from Girard hit the rear axles of the trailer.
The vehicle driver was pinned inside his vehicle. He was extricated by firefighters and taken to St. Louis University Hospital by Bunker Hill ambulance where he died.
No further details regarding the collision were released.
An investigation is underway.
