Police said a 61-year-old man of Lincoln City was heading westbound on Highway 18 in a white Chevrolet Silverado when it went off the roadway, entered a westbound ditch, hit a culvert and overturned. The driver was thrown from the car after the crash.

Yamhill County, OR. – One person was killed after a single-car accident on Wednesday morning in Yamhill County, according to the Oregon State Police.
The accident happened at around 5:48 a.m. on May 13 on Highway 18 near SW Oldsville Road.
Police said a 61-year-old man of Lincoln City was heading westbound on Highway 18 in a white Chevrolet Silverado when it went off the roadway, entered a westbound ditch, hit a culvert and overturned. The driver was thrown from the car after the crash.
The Chevrolet driver was pronounced dead at the crash site.
Traffic delays were experienced in the area for three hours to give way to an on-scene investigation.
The OSP was assisted at the scene by the Oregon Department of Transportation and the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office.
An investigation is underway.
