Jackson County, FL. – One person was killed and another severely hurt following a traffic collision on Tuesday afternoon in Jackson County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at about 3:45 p.m. on March 17 on County Road 165A.
The FHP officials confirmed an SUV was heading north on County Road 165A and approaching Wolf Pond Road when the driver veered off onto the east shoulder of the road before losing control.
The vehicle then flipped before throwing the driver outside.
The driver and the passenger were airlifted to the hospital after the crash.
The driver later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
