1 Killed, 6 Injured in Crash on Highway 99E near S Barlow Road in Barlow

Troopers said a 50-year-old Hubbard man was traveling south on Highway 99 E when he failed to stop at the stoplight at S Barlow Road.

Barlow, OR. – One individual was killed and another was injured after a traffic collision on Monday night in Barlow, west of Canby, in Clackamas County, according to the Oregon State Patrol.

The accident happened at about 7:10 p.m. on April 27, on Highway 99E near S Barlow Road.

Troopers said a 50-year-old Hubbard man was traveling south on Highway 99 E when he failed to stop at the stoplight at S Barlow Road. At the same time a Chevy Silverado operated by a 47-year-old man of Canby was turning left onto Highway 99E northbound from the southbound lane of S Barlow Road when the truck was struck by the Kia on the driver’s side.

A 71-year-old woman, a passenger in the Kia, was declared dead at the crash site.

Three children and a 47-year-old, all Kia passengers were transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The Chevy driver and a 45-year-old Passenger were also hospitalized with minor injuries.

Troopers blocked all lanes of OR-99E for around six hours following the crash.

No additional information concerning this collision was released.

The Canby Police Department, Canby Fire Department, AMR, and the Oregon Department of Transportation assisted the OSP at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
