The deadly accident occurred around 3:15 a.m. on July 12 on Highway 18 near Grand Ronde.

Tillamook County, OR – A teenager was killed and two others were injured earlier this month in a hit-and-run accident in Tillamook County, according to the police.
The deadly accident occurred around 3:15 a.m. on July 12 on Highway 18 near Grand Ronde.
Police said a white Honda Civic was traveling eastbound on the highway near milepost 14 when it left the travel lane and entered the eastbound shoulder. A black Nissan Altima with a flat tire was parked on the eastbound shoulder, and three 17-year-old males were outside the Nissan changing the flat tire. The Honda struck the three teens and fled the scene heading eastbound.
The teenagers were taken to local hospitals with serious injuries. Unfortunately, one of the teens died on July 14. His name has not been released.
A 17-year-old female passenger, who was inside the Nissan, was uninjured in the accident.
The Honda driver, Alejandro Christopher Velazquez Lopez, 34, of Tillamook, is believed to have left the country, and there is an active warrant for his arrest.
The accident remains under investigation.
