The fatal crash happened just after midnight on September 7 at the intersection of University and Rural roads.

Tempe, AZ – One person was killed and two others were injured early Sunday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Tempe, according to the authorities.
The fatal crash happened just after midnight on September 7 at the intersection of University and Rural roads.
Authorities said a vehicle ran a red light at the intersection and hit a car that had a green arrow. A third car that had the right-of-way was also hit.
The driver who ran the red light then crashed into an Einstein Bros, Bagels storefront.
One person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where they later died. Their identity has not been released.
Two other people were also taken to the hospital for treatment.
The alleged at-fault driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
The crash closed the intersection for several hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
