Vancouver, WA – One person was killed and another was injured early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle accident in Vancouver, according to the deputies.
The deadly accident happened around 4:15 a.m. on August 8 near 139th Street and Northeast 20th Avenue.
Deputies said a sedan was traveling recklessly when it collided with a truck.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released. Their passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the truck was uninjured in the accident.
Investigators said alcohol might have been a factor in the accident.
20th Avenue between NE 139th and NE 144th streets were closed following the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
