Officials said a scissor lift-collapsed at a new Clearwater Publix.
Clearwater, FL. – One person was killed and another hospitalized following a construction-related accident late Monday afternoon at a new Publix in Clearwater.
According to the Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department, the accident happened at around 5:00 p.m. at Missouri Avenue.
Officials said a scissor lift-collapsed at a new Clearwater Publix.
One man was rushed to Morton Plant Hospital where he later died.
The second man was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No additional details regarding this collision were released.
An investigation is underway.
