According to the Reno Police Department, the accident happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Silver Lake Road and Mariner Cove Drive.
A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a vehicle at the intersection in unclear circumstances.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the involved car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
