Troopers said a pickup truck and a Chevrolet SUV crashed for unknown reasons. The pickup then continued driving until the driver went off the highway and struck a tree and utility pole at the Cottage Hill Assembly of God Cemetery adjacent to the school.
Cantonment, FL. – One person was injured after a traffic collision on Thursday afternoon in Cantonment, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened on September 12, on Highway 95A just off Highway 29, north of Jim Allen Elementary School.
Troopers said a pickup truck and a Chevrolet SUV crashed for unknown reasons. The pickup then continued driving until the driver went off the highway and struck a tree and utility pole at the Cottage Hill Assembly of God Cemetery adjacent to the school.
The utility pole was snapped as a result of the crash.
The pickup driver was taken to a local hospital by Escambia County EMS.
No other information concerning this crash was provided.
An investigation is underway.
