Yuma, AZ. – A man was injured Friday evening in a motorcycle accident in Yuma, according to the Yuma Police Department (YPD).
The accident happened around 7:05 p.m. on October 3 in the area of E. 32nd Street and S. Fortuna Avenue near Bici Park.
Police said a 20-year-old man was riding a black CBR600RR Honda westbound on 32nd Street when he crashed into a silver Nissan Sentra that was making a lane change and was being driven by a 46-year-old man.
The motorcyclist was taken to Onvida Health, but was later airlifted to a Phoenix hospital in critical condition.
Speed on the part of the motorcyclist was a factor in the accident.
Police are investigating the accident.
