Police said a semi-truck drove off the highway, struck a guardrail and rolled over. The guardrail was dislodged and obstructed the highway.Two other vehicles, a second semi-truck and an SUV, hit the guardrail.

Paxton, IL. – One person was hospitalized following a semi-truck accident on Wednesday morning in Paxton, according to the Illinois State Police.
The accident happened at around 4:00 a.m. August 13, on northbound Interstate 57.
Police said a semi-truck drove off the highway, struck a guardrail and rolled over. The guardrail was dislodged and obstructed the highway. Two other vehicles, a second semi-truck and an SUV, hit the guardrail.
The SUV driver sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Northbound lanes of the highway were closed after the collision and were not reopened as of 9:45 a.m. Motorists were asked to seek alternate routes.
An investigation is underway.
