Police said multiple vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
Des Plaines, IL. – One person was killed after a multi-vehicle rollover accident on Wednesday afternoon in Des Plaines, according to the Illinois State Police.
The accident happened at around 4:00 p.m. on February 4th on northbound Interstate 294 (Tri-State Tollway) near the Golf Road exit.
Police said multiple vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
At least one individual was killed in the collision.
Three left lanes were closed for a longer period of time to give way to a rescue and clearing operation.
Heavy traffic was experienced in the area and drivers were asked to use alternate routes.
An investigation is underway.
