Tempe, AZ – One person was killed Sunday afternoon in a four-car accident in Tempe, according to the police.
The fatal accident occurred on August 24 at the intersection of Guadalupe and Rural roads.
Police said four cars were involved in the collision.
One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and later died. Their identity has not been released.
The accident closed westbound Guadalupe at Terrace for about five hours, and northbound traffic on Rural was diverted to westbound Guadalupe.
The police are investigating the accident.
