Fire officials said a vehicle was stuck underneath a school bus in unclear circumstances.

New Smyrna Beach, FL. – One person was severely hurt following a traffic collision on Monday morning in New Smyrna Beach.
According to the New Smyrna Beach Fire Department, the accident happened on October 6, on State Road 44 and Hughes Road.
Fire officials said a vehicle was stuck underneath a school bus in unclear circumstances.
One person was extricated and flown to the hospital as a trauma alert.
There was one child on the school bus and they were not hurt due to the crash.
Police blocked westbound lanes of SR-44 and drivers were asked to avoid the area.
An investigation is ongoing.
