Sparks, NV. – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Friday evening in Sparks.
According to the Sparks Police Department, the crash happened on Nugget Avenue near the I-80 eastbound off-ramp at around 5:03 p.m.
A suspected impaired driver was traveling eastbound on the Nugget Avenue off-ramp at a high rate of speed when he collided with a second vehicle.
The driver fled the scene while two people were extricated from the wreck.

The at-fault driver was later arrested and faces several charges, including Driving Under the Influence Resulting in Substantial Bodily Harm.
