Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Las Vegas Multi-Vehicle Accident Monday Afternoon

Las Vegas, Nevada – A motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries after a multi-vehicle accident at a Las Vegas Intersection on Monday afternoon, according to LVMPD.

According to LVMPD, the accident happened at about 3:50 p.m. on January 6 near Eastern and Cedar avenues and involved two vehicles and a motorcycle

LVMPD said a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on Eastern Avenue approaching the intersection with Cedar Avenue on a green light. As the rider entered the intersection, a Honda Civic attempted to turn left on a flashing yellow light, failed to yield the right of way, and struck the side of the motorcycle.

The impact caused the motorcyclist to be ejected, police said, adding that the rider suffered a severed foot and was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

No one in the other vehicles required medical attention, police said, adding that they remained at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
