Investigators said a 2024 black Nissan Armada, operated by 54-year-old Michael James Massa, from Bellflower, Calif., was traveling northbound on Valley Drive, at a high rate of speed, when it crashed into the rear of a silver Chevrolet Malibu.
Las Cruces, N.M. – One person was killed following a multi-vehicle crash on North Valley Drive in Las Cruces, according to Las Cruces police.
The crash, involving three vehicles, occurred shortly after 9 p.m. on February 2 in the 900 block of North Valley Drive.
Investigators said a 2024 black Nissan Armada, operated by 54-year-old Michael James Massa, from Bellflower, Calif., was traveling northbound on Valley Drive, at a high rate of speed, when it crashed into the rear of a silver Chevrolet Malibu.
The impact pushed the Malibu into the southbound lanes of traffic where it sideswiped an orange Ford Mustang while the Aada went off the roadway and struck a building.
Michael Massa, who was the sole occupant of the Nissan, was transported to Mountainview Regional Medical Center where he died.
The driver of the Malibu and two occupants of the Mustang were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
No additional information is available.
The crash remains under investigation.
