Sarasota County, FL. – A man was killed in a car crash on Tuesday morning near Venice in Sarasota County.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the accident happened around 10:14 a.m. at Tempest Harbor Loop and River Road.
An 83-year-old man was driving a Lexus SUV across the intersection and was struck by a semi-truck.
The Lexus driver was killed in the accident.
The semi-truck driver was unhurt.
