Jacksonville, FL – A man was killed following a motorcycle traffic collision on Monument Road in Duval County Friday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The deadly crash happened at about 9 p.m. on April 25 on Monument Road northbound near the Fort Caroline Lakes subdivision.
The Sheriff’s Office said a Chevrolet Tahoe was turning left into the Fort Caroline Lakes subdivision when a motorcycle crashed its right rear.
The male rider was transported to the hospital where he later died.
The name of the victim has not been released.
According to the Sheriff’s office, the deadly incident marks the 48th traffic death in Duval County this year and the 12th involving a motorcycle
The incident remains under investigation.
