The Jacksonville man was taken to Orange Park Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries
Clay County, FL. – A Jacksonville man died after being struck by a work truck as he rode a scooter near Green Cove Springs in Clay County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:06 a.m. on County Road 209.
A white work truck was traveling southbound on C.R. 209 when it made a turn and struck a man riding a scooter northbound.
The man, a 35-year-old man from Jacksonville, was taken to Orange Park Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
The 56-year-old man driving the work truck was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
