Fort Myers, FL. – A 21-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday afternoon in Fort Myers.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around noon on Hancock Bridge Parkway, east of Moody Road.
A pickup truck was traveling east on Hancock Bridge Parkway when it changed lanes and collided with a motorcycle that was also traveling east on Hancock Bridge Parkway.
The crash sent the motorcycle off the roadway where it crashed into a metal pedestrian handle.
The motorcyclist, a North Fort Myers man, was killed in the accident.
The pickup truck driver, a 44-year-old Cape Coral man, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
