Alachua, FL – A man was killed in an accident involving a tractor-trailer in Alachua on Wednesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on CR 235A near CR 2054 at around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29.
The FHP reported that a 34-year-old Ocala man was exiting the Dollar General Distribution Center when the tractor-trailer he was driving was hit by a pickup traveling southbound on CR 235A.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 55-year-old Alachua man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
