Las Vegas, NV. – One person was critically injured after being hit by a car as he rode an e-bike on Friday afternoon.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened around 2:37 p.m. near Karen Avenue and Paradise Road.
52-year-old Mitchell Kelly was driving a 2015 Toyota 4Runner east on Karen and was making a turn at the intersection and hit a 41-year-old man riding a Kukirin G4 Electric Scooter westbound.
The pedestrian landed in the street and was taken to Sunrise Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The driver showed no signs of impairment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
