Man killed in collision at Lamm Road and Baileyville Road in Freeport
Freeport, IL. – A 73-year-old man was killed in a collision that occurred at an intersection in rural Freeport on Thursday morning.
According to the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 3:02 p.m. at Lamm Road and Baileyville Road.
The man was driving a 2019 Dodge Journey eastbound when he disregarded a stop sign and was hit by a semi-truck traveling northbound on Baileyville Road.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi was uninjured.
Illinois State Police is investigating the accident.
