Yuma, AZ – A 76-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a traffic collision Monday afternoon at an intersection in Yuma.

The Yuma Police Department received reports regarding the mishap at around 12:43 p.m. on February 24 at 25th Street and 4th Avenue.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 63-year-old man was driving a 2006 Toyota Tacoma when he attempted to cross 4th Avenue onto westbound 25th Street and collided with a southbound 1996 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The male rider was rushed to Onvida Health with severe injuries.

No other injuries were reported, the police said.

Impairment did not appear to be a factor in the wreck.
