Justin Beltran and Jena-Marie Ortiz were in a Honda Civic that collided head-on with a Chrysler 300 that crossed the highway centerline.
Lyon County, NV – Two people who died following a head-on traffic collision on State Route 339 near Yerington on February 15 have been identified as Justin Beltran, 24, from Montclair, California, and Jena-Marie Ortiz, 23, from La Verne, California.
The deadly incident occurred around 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 15 on State Route 339 at mile marker 6.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2018 Chrysler 300 was heading northbound on SR-339 when the driver crossed into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2017 Honda Civic operated by Justin Beltran.
Beltran and his passenger – Jena-Marie Ortiz were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Beltran died from his injuries on February 16 while Marie Ortiz died on February 17.
The incident remains under investigation.

According to the Nevada State Police, the accident happened on State Route 339 at mile marker 6 at around 11 a.m. on February 15.
A 2018 Chrysler 300 was traveling northbound on SR-339 when it crossed the highway centerline and collided head-on with a 2017 Honda Civic.
The driver of the Honda and his passenger, both from California, were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver succumbed to his injuries on February 16 while the passenger died on February 17.
