Harley Smith killed in pedestrian accident at Santa Fe Place Mall in Santa Fe
Santa Fe, N.M. – 75-year-old Harley Smith died after being struck by a vehicle on Monday evening in Santa Fe.
According to the police, the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe Place Mall.
A city driver placed a vehicle in drive rather than reverse in the parking lot, causing the car to jump a curb and hit a bench Smith was sitting on.
Smith was killed in the accident.
