Worth, IL – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Worth early Monday morning, according to the Worth Police Department.
The incident took place in the 6600 block of 115th Street at about 6:20 p.m. on March 25.
According to police, Douglas Richer, 46, of Worth, was crossing the street when he was hit by a vehicle.
Richer was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver fled the scene after the accident but was later located and arrested.
The suspect was identified as a 28-year-old Worth resident.
The accident is under investigation.
