Carmi, IL. – A deputy was injured in a collision on Tuesday morning in Carmi.
According to the White County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 5:21 p.m. in the area of Route 1 and County Road 1500.
A deputy and an ambulance were responding to a call involving an injured juvenile in relation to an ATV crash.
The deputy’s car reportedly collided with another vehicle. The impact sent the trooper’s car off the road where it went airborne and rolled over multiple times.
The deputy was taken to Deaconess Hospital with injuries including a fractured collarbone.
The driver of the second car and a juvenile passenger were unhurt.
