UPDATE: Meza, AZ – The authorities have identified the third person who died in a triple-fatal collision on Val Vista Drive in Mesa as 29-year-old Damarya Zyberi. A father, identified as 42-year-old Troy Garlock, and his 8-year-old daughter were also killed in the collision.
Police say Damarya Zyberi was driving a Ford F-250 pickup truck, reportedly stolen in Gilbert, northbound on Val Vista Drive when it collided head-on with a Nissan Armada operated by Garlock.
Zyberi and Garlock were pronounced dead at the scene.
Garlock’s daughters – ages 6 and 8 years – were in the back seat of the Nissan at the time of the crash. Both children were taken to the hospital where the 8-year-old girl, identified as Elsie Garlock, died.

Meza, AZ – Three people, including an 8-year-old girl, were killed following a head-on traffic collision involving a stolen vehicle in Mesa on Monday morning, according to a police report.
The deadly crash happened at about 8 a.m. on Val Vista Drive, south of Southern Avenue, according to the Mesa Fire and Medical Department.
According to the police, a preliminary investigation showed that a Ford F-250 pickup truck, reportedly stolen in Gilbert, was heading northbound on Val Vista Drive when it collided head-on with a Nissan Armada.
Police say a third vehicle was also involved in the collision.
The driver of the Nissan, identified as 42-year-old Troy Garlock, and the driver of the Ford truck, a 29-year-old adult, died at the accident scene.
An 8-year-old girl and another 6-year-old girl were in the backseat of the Nissan at the time of the collision. The two children were transported to the hospital where the 8-year-old child died.
The third driver suffered minor injuries in the collision.

The double-fatal crash happened around 8 a.m. at Val Vista Drive south of Southern Avenue, according to the Mesa Fire and Medical Department.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision.
Two people were trapped in their vehicles and had to be extricated. The two were pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Two juvenile occupants of the car were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
