Christopher Ryan De Jesus Dies in Workplace Forklift Accident on Woodland Avenue

Woodburn, OR. – Christopher Ryan De Jesus, 39, from Independence, WA, has been identified as the man killed in a workplace forklift accident on Wednesday morning in Woodburn.

According to Woodburn Police Department, the accident happened at around 11:40 a.m. June 4, at Winco Distribution Center on South Woodland Avenue.

Police said a semi-truck was moved while Christopher was still inside the container and the forklift fell from the container.

Christopher was declared dead at the accident scene.

The semi-truck driver remained at the crash site and is cooperating with investigators.

The semi-truck driver and the forklift operator were both working for third-party contractors at the distribution center.

An investigation is underway.
