A 7-year-old child in the Pacifica was taken to the hospital with minor injuries
Champaign County, IL. – A child was hospitalized after being injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Tuesday evening in Champaign County.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident happened on Illinois Route 47 near County Road 1900 North at around 5:30 p.m.
A Maroon Chrysler Pacifica was traveling north when two vans ahead stopped for emergency vehicles to pass. The Pacifica did not slow down and rear-ended a van, pushing it into a second van.
A 7-year-old child in the Pacifica was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
A van driver reported minor injuries on-scene but was not hospitalized.
The other two drivers were unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
