Bicyclist Killed in Albuquerque Crash with Bus at Mountain Road and 11th Street NW

Albuquerque, N.M. – An unidentified bicyclist was hit and killed by a bus in Northwest Albuquerque on Saturday night, according to Albuquerque Police Department.

The deadly accident happened at about 10 p.m. on February 15 in the area of Mountain Road and 11th Street NW.

APD’s Fatal Crash Unit said a coach bus was traveling eastbound on 11th Street when a man on an electric bicycle rode past the stop sign at the intersection and rode into the moving bus.

The male cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released.

The bus driver showed no signs of intoxication, police said.

No additional information was provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
