Las Vegas, NV– The driver who was killed following a multi-vehicle crash near the Las Vegas Strip early Tuesday morning last week has been identified, according to the Nevada State Police.

NVP identified the deceased driver as 43-year-old Anthony Rivera.

The accident happened just before 5 a.m. on February 25 on W. Harmon Avenue near Polaris Avenue.

Nevada police the driver of a black 2023 Cadillac Escalade utility was speeding westbound in the far-left lane on Harmon Avenue when it rear-ended a Toyota Corolla.

After hitting the Toyota, the Cadillac overturned and crashed into a dump truck and Ford flatbed truck. Both trucks were not occupied at the time of the collision.

The driver of the Cadillac, later identified as Anthony Rivera, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Toyota driver was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The incident remains under investigation.

Las Vegas, NV – One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash near the Las Vegas Strip early Tuesday morning, according to the Nevada State Police.

Nevada police said at least two vehicles were involved in the crash and one man was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately released.

 According to the police, one of the drivers involved in the collision, but not at fault, was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The police said Harmon Avenue and the ramp to Harmon from Northbound Interstate 15 were both shut down for several hours due to the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
