Phoenix, AZ – One person was killed in a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a car in Tempe on Saturday morning.
Tempe police said the accident happened on January 18, near 56th Street and Desert Drive, just north of Washington Street.
According to the police, a man was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a car and died at the scene. Police said speed appears to have played a role in the collision.
56th Street was shut down between Washington Street and Van Buren Street as crews worked to clear the scene and investigate the collision.
