17-Year-Old Boy Injured in Phoenix Crash

Phoenix, AZ (May 1st, 2018)- Phoenix police arrested a man Tuesday morning as a potential suspect for crashing a stolen vehicle into a bus stop and injuring a 17-year-old boy.

Authorities stated that the person they arrested is suspected of feeling with a stolen vehicle from another area and leaving the roadway near Bell Road and 19th Avenue and crashing into a bus stop.

The crash resulted in a 17-year-old boy receiving injuries. According to the police, responders took the boy to the hospital with serious injuries.

The suspect drove the car a short distance after impact, stopped driving and ignited.

His identity remains unavailable. Traffic was restricted Tuesday morning while the crash scene was under investigation.
