Nevada Highway Patrol said one person was injured following a multi vehicle accident Wednesday morning on Interstate 80 near Prater Way in Sparks.
Sparks, NV.- One person was injured following a multi vehicle accident Wednesday morning in Sparks, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. on July 22 on westbound Interstate 80 near Prater Way.
Authorities said the collision involved multiple vehicles, including a pickup truck towing a utility trailer that overturned during the accident.
Several westbound travel lanes were blocked while emergency crews assisted those involved and cleared the roadway.
One person was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators determined that an unsafe lane change was the cause of the accident.
The roadway reopened to traffic at approximately 10 a.m.
The investigation has been completed.
