Police said two motorcyclists were injured following an accident Wednesday night at the intersection of Caton Farm Road and W Frontage Road in Joliet.
Joliet, IL.- Two people were injured following a motorcycle accident Wednesday night in Joliet.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:42 p.m. on July 22 at the intersection of Caton Farm Road and W Frontage Road.
Police said a Volkswagen Atlas was traveling eastbound on Caton Farm Road when the driver attempted to turn left onto northbound W Frontage Road.
Investigators said the SUV entered the intersection and collided with a westbound Kawasaki motorcycle carrying a 44 year old Joliet man and a 46 year old Joliet woman.
Both motorcyclists were thrown from the motorcycle and transported to Saint Joseph Medical Center before being transferred to Loyola University Medical Center for additional treatment.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a 41 year old Alsip man, was not injured.
Witnesses told investigators that traffic on Caton Farm Road had a green signal at the time of the collision.
The accident remains under investigation.
