Troopers said a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon on County Road 329 in Marion County.
Marion County, FL.- A pedestrian was killed following an accident Monday afternoon in Marion County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. on July 20 on County Road 329 just north of County Road 320.
Troopers said a vehicle was traveling south on County Road 329 when it struck a fallen tree that a pedestrian was cutting with a chainsaw near the roadway.
The vehicle also struck the pedestrian during the collision.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
