Authorities said a bicyclist suffered serious injuries following an accident early Sunday morning on Interstate 5 in Marion County.
Marion County, OR.- A bicyclist was seriously injured following an accident Sunday morning in Marion County.
The accident was reported at approximately 3:54 a.m. on July 19 on northbound Interstate 5.
Investigators said a white Subaru Outback struck the bicyclist while traveling northbound.
Authorities believe the rider may have been thrown into a travel lane and struck by a second vehicle.
The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Subaru remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The identity of the bicyclist has not been released.
Police are seeking witnesses and anyone with information about the possible second vehicle.
The accident remains under investigation.
