Police said a cyclist suffered serious injuries following an accident Saturday afternoon near 112th Avenue and Northeast 6th Street in Bellevue.
Bellevue, WA.- A bicyclist was seriously injured following an accident Saturday afternoon in Bellevue.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on July 18 near the intersection of 112th Avenue and Northeast 6th Street outside Bellevue City Hall.
Authorities said the bicyclist was traveling south on 112th Avenue when a northbound vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Northeast 6th Street. The two collided in the intersection.
The cyclist was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The identities of the cyclist and the driver have not been released.
Traffic was temporarily blocked near the intersection while emergency crews responded to the scene. Drivers were directed to use alternate routes.
The accident remains under investigation.
